This is what I am getting lately for trying to put up my usual two to three paragraph posts:

"The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least 3 characters."

Three characters?? Don't get it, dudes. I sometimes write three paragraphs and I get this page. Did Pizza Dude just stumble onto another glitch or what? And if so, I think I'll want compensitories this time, dudes. heheh. That part was a joke, but would be sweet if honored.:D

Might be something temporary in the server, but it seems as though it's random. It's the first I've heard of it happening.

The text length validation is javascript running on your PC. There's nothing wrong with the server, and the javascript looks reasonably sound. There are, however, a few ways in which you could fool it into returning a shorter length than may be true. For instance, enclosing any number of characters in brackets will cause them to be seen as a bbcode tag, and ignored in the count. It also ignores anything enclosed in quote tags. Those are the two primary ways I can see where you might run afoul of the code without realizing it.

Naw, bud. I don't think that's it. I always try to make my posts a certain number of sentences, whether I bracket up someone's quote text or not, so I don't look like a spam-simpleton or somethin.

It hasn't happened in a several days now, so that prob's probly been remedied by one a yawl. I have a new thing that urks me now. It's probly cause I don't wait for the thread pages to load fully, but I start bangin text into the reply box, right----before the page get finished. And all of what I just typed gets cleared when it finally does!! That perturbs Pizza Dude efficiently sometimes, bud. But if I just wait a second or two, I don't have that to happen. Just another dodging of bullets, I guess. Oh well. Later Pyriel!
